Hahna Cho

Operations and Program Assistant

Hahna Cho recently joined the Thomas and Jeanne Elmezzi Private Foundation as its Operations and Program Assistant. Hahna graduated from the University of Virginia where she double majored in History and Political & Social Thought and minored in Women, Gender and Sexuality Studies.

During her time in Charlottesville, she worked and volunteered at a variety of local organizations including the Jefferson School African American Heritage Center, the Carter G. Woodson Institute for African-American and African Studies and the Backstory with the American History Guys podcast. Through these experiences, Hahna unearthed a passion for the ethos of non-profit work as she saw that the cultivation of empathy and direct input of community voices made a positive impact on the overall quality of life of those involved. She aspires to integrate her background in socio-historical analysis into the field of non-profit management in order to best serve the Long Island City/Astoria community.
