On January 12, 2024, the Foundation bid farewell to a beloved Director, Lynn Grossman. Nearly thirty years ago, she played a key role in establishing the Foundation alongside its founder, Thomas Elmezzi, and every year since, served as a devoted advocate for the residents of our shared community. Lynn passionately promoted the Foundation’s mission to ensure that people could access opportunities that would put them on a path to empowerment and self sufficiency. She has left an indelible mark on our institution for she embodied the most vital value in philanthropy; to care for others intensely and compassionately. 

Her legacy lives on everyday in the work we have, are, and will continue to do to uplift our LIC/Astoria neighbors and we will always honor her dedication to the Foundation.
