Youth Development Program
The Foundation recognizes successful youth development as a complex, comprehensive endeavor. We are committed to partnering with community organizations that demonstrate systematic, evidence-based youth intervention strategies designed to realize culture-level change in disadvantaged communities.
Emerging evidence in the fields of education and social science suggest the key to successful youth development is implementing what is called a “conveyor belt” of support and services to a community’s youth. The conveyor belt is a systematized, outcome-based support structure that factors in every aspect of a youth’s experience. It begins at birth, and concludes only once youth graduate from college. Whether funding a single organization, or multiple organizations working closely to ensure a continuous and comprehensive support structure within a community, the Foundation believes this level of assistance is necessary to achieving long-term, community-wide success in Youth Development.
